Belgian lighthouse,
lightship and lightbeacon award.
This award is issued by the Antwerp Section of the UBA,namely OSA, in collaboration with the National Shipping
Museum, a division of the MAS, with the
purpose of promoting our active or non-active, Belgian lighthouses, lightships
and lightbeacons.
Every radio or
listening amateur can obtain this award. You collect points by contacting amateurstations
set up in the neighbourhood of a lighthouse, lightship or lightbeacon
or if you note,as a listening amateur,the
location of a special station and his contact in your logbook.
These are the rules :
These qsl-cards can be claimed by the awardmanager
and will be returned along with the award.
You can also collect points by activating a lighthouse,lightship or beacon.
This is done in the following way :

Situate your station in the neighbourhood of a Belgian
lighthouse, lightship or lightbeacon with the intent
to make contacts out of these locations.
Where to locate your station :
1.
Preferably
on the lighthouse, on the lightship
2. If not
possible then within a 1.OOO meters or else
3. Within
the lightreach of the lighthouse, lightship or lightbeacon.
Other dispositions are not permitted.

Make at least 50 contacts from this location.
·
Make a picture of the activities and send this
together with the log ( in Cabrillo
format) to the award manager, preferably by e-mail.
·
Join a blank qsl-card for
the activity. (.jpg format 800-600 if e-mail)
How to obtain the award :
Send a selfaddressed
envelope to the award manager containing :
1.
A copy
of the log while marking the valid contacts.
2. A
confirmed list of qsl-cards (gcr-list)
co-signed by two amateurs.
3. A copy
of the received qsl-cards.
4. A
completed application form (found on the website)
5. The due
contribution i.e. :
ON stations : 5 Euro.
EU stations : 6 Euro
DX stations : 7 Euro.

The award is printed in 4-colour A4 format with a
picture of the Westhinder III in the the
Bonaparte-dock in Antwerp.
